Due to their good mechanical properties composite materials are increasingly applied for the construction of lifting surfaces in maritime industry. However, besides improving strength weight ratio a structure, anisotropic material can also exhibit bend-twist coupling, when exposed higher loads. In order experimentally measure fluid structure interaction, object investigation needs same loadings, as it would experience during operation. To investigate possibility obtain simultaneous deformation and flow field measurements large hydrodynamic testing facility PIV DIC performed flexible NACA 0008 hydrofoil wing tip region. For assessment performance methods two scenarios presented including tests stationary conditions with constant angles attack forced plunging oscillations.
